What was the highlight of Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa
„Schöne riesige Anlage teilweise in die Jahre gekommen
Das gesamte Personal war unglaublich Freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Es wurde stark auf Hygiene geachtet. Selbst das Besteck wurde mit einer Zange ausgegeben. Es gab eine große Auswahl an Getränken an der Bar die im All Inklusive Paket mit enthalten war. Das Buffet zum Frühstück und Mittag war breit gefächert. Auch Vegetarier und teilweise Veganer kommen auf ihre Kosten. Die Anlage war in einem guten Zustand. Der Strand war lang genug so das sich alles gut verteilte. Es gab ausreichend Sonnenliegen. Die Überwege führten mit einem Steg durch den Jungle. Oft lief einem dabei ein Tier über den Weg, was schöne und spannend war. Das Krokodilgehege war zum Punkt unseres Aufenthaltes zum Glück nicht im Betrieb. Das sollte weiterhin fortgeführt werden. Tiere gehören nicht in Käfige.
Leider hatte unsere Zimmer (5020) sehr starke Abnutzungserscheinungen. Bein öffnen der Balkontür flog das Fliegengitter regelmäßig aus dem Scharnier. Der Kühlschrank war nach zwei Tagen Defekt. Auf Anfrage wurde dieser nicht repariert. Unter unseren Betten war es sehr schmutzig und das Bett von unten war völlig aufgerissen. Es roch im Zimmer sehr muffig. Es gab keine helle Deckenbeleuchtung. Kaum Sonneneinstrahlung. Die Fenster waren komplett Flächendeckend milchig. Dadurch war das Zimmer noch dunkler. Im Badezimmer lief hinter dem Spiegel Wasser aus und verursachte eine Wasserfütze. Im Waschbecken waren viele kleine Würmer. Die Badewanne war stark verschmutzt. Generell ist das Badezimmer stark in die Jahre gekommen. Von außen bröckelt teilweise die Fassade ab. Von außen (Sicht aus dem Balkon) gab es an der Fassade unzählige Wesbennester. Leider bot das Hotel zum Abenddinner in sämtlichen Restaurants kein Veganes Essen an. Als Alternative wurde angeboten beispielsweise den Käse wegfallen zu lassen. Von unserem Balkon aus war die Hauptstraße 24/7 laut zu hören. Für Erwachsene empfanden wir das Entertainmentangebot am Abend fade. Für Kinder jedoch wurde einiges geboten. Während unseres 10 tägigen Aufenthaltes gab es zum Abenddinner jeden Tag in alles Restaurants das gleiche geringe Angebot. Keine Abwechslung.

„Großartiges Hotel, daß diese Pandemie hoffentlich gut übersteht und zur Perfektion zurück findet.
Ich war vor drei Jahren bereits in diesem Hotel. Damals war es perfekt! Leider hat die Qualität etwas nachgelassen, ich denke aufgrund der mangelnden Auslastung und damit Einnahmen der Pandemiesituation - auch jetzt war das Hotel geschätzt zu weniger als 50% ausgelastet. Die Anlage und das Konzept sind nach wie vor großartig, und das Personal herausragend freundlich. Die Anlage mitten im Dschungel mit Leguanen, Naguti, Nasenbären und sogar Klammeraffen ist traumhaft, ebenso der feinsandige Strand, an dem wir jeden Morgen teils spektakuläre Sonnenaufgänge sehen konnten. Die liebe Bardame Maria von der Rincocito Pool Bar war so aufmerksam und freundlich, daß wir kaum noch zum Meer gegangen sind, weil wir uns an dem Pool so wohl gefühlt haben. Sie hat uns buchstäblich jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Auch unsere Bedienung im Hacienda beim Frühstück hat uns jeden Morgen einen großartigen Start in den Tag gegeben.
Leider gab es auch im Vergleich zum damaligen Aufenthalt Abstriche bei der Qualität des Essens (kein Sushi mehr im Buffetrestaurant, Fleischqualität im El Dorado), auslastungsbedingt(?) waren die A la carte Restaurants öfter mal geschlossen, ein Flamingobecken nicht besetzt, Krokodile abgeschafft, der Service war nicht mehr erstklassig (Handtücher fehlten immer mal wieder, es wurde nicht zuverlässig geputzt), extra Wünsche wurden zwar mehrfach angenommen, aber nicht ausgeführt (zusätzliche zweite Tischlampe im äußerst schlecht beleuchteten Zimmer), Auswahl an Spirituosen war reduziert in den Poolbars (aber immer noch ausreichend, nur Spezialitäten fehlten nun). Nichtsdestotrotz ist es immer noch ein tolles Hotel und wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt, nicht mehr perfekt aber immer noch sehr gut!

„Traumanlage mit Zimmer-Renovierungsbedarf
sehr, sehr große und weitläufige Anlage am einem Traumstrand. Viele Aktivitäten werden angeboten und alle sind sehr bemüht. Hervorragende Essen Auswahl in sehr guter Qualität . Viele buchbare Themenlokale mit Service. Die Aussenbereiche sind in sehr guten Zustand.
Die Villen sind über 20 Jahre alt und das sieht und spürt man auch. Ein no-go ist das Badezimmer mit schwarzen Schimmelspuren und ewigem Mief. Auch das Rest Zimmer riecht immer müffelig
